Educational Spaces Reimagined

Meet Johann Slee at Kliphuis for a conversation around residential design. Continue to the Green School South Africa, where GASS Architecture’s biophilic design principles shape learning environments. End the day with a tour of The Calling Academy, led by Gustav Roberts, a shining example of purpose-driven school architecture.

Civic Spaces & Icons

Tour the Old Granary, now the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Centre, followed by the Zeitz MOCAA for a deep dive into repurposed industrial architecture. Visit the French School (a heritage campus) and the private residence of Gawie Fagan, guided by Peter Rich. The following day includes a visit to Roelof Uytenbogaardt’s UCT Sports Centre and Dennis Goldberg’s home with Jo Noero for conversations that span legacy, politics, and architecture.

A Pause in Nature

Conclude the journey with a day at Table Mountain and Boulders Beach. Take in panoramic views of the city from the summit, then visit the African penguins in their coastal sanctuary, a gentle reminder of nature’s own design brilliance.
