South Africa is finally travel-ready. The announcement, made by the president of South Africa, Cyril Rhamaposa, just over two weeks ago, has kickstarted the travel industry and it couldn’t have come at a better time. With summer in full swing and the weather looking perfect for good food, good wine and exploring in the sunshine, South Africa is the perfect destination to satisfy that travel craving.

The local industry has been working hard to make sure travelling in and around South Africa is safe and secure and that every precaution has been taken to keep guests free from the threat of coronavirus. Masks are mandatory for all people when in public, social distancing is enforced and washing hands regularly as well as the presence of hand sanitiser at the entrances to most (if not all) public spaces and buildings including restaurants, malls, banks and so on is the norm.

With its breathtaking natural beauty, friendly locals, world-class wines, spectacular local cuisine, superb fine dining, blue flag beaches and unrivalled luxury safari experiences, South Africa beckons for all who are willing and able to travel to her magnificent shores.
