Following a career in financial services, Jonathan qualified as a winemaker and after some international vintages joined International Wine Services, making Cape wines for the UK market where he also advised Bibendum Wine Ltd and WaverleyTBS. After 2 years on the European Master of Wine programme Jonathan now consults, judges and tutors, is a freelance wine writer and leads wine tasting tours of the Cape.

These are some of the wineries who come out tops for sheer drinkability – with one or two from left of field.
